Lieven Devos is a champion himself and wants to make champions from his trainees as well. “It is up to the client which level he or she pursues. Since the first Korean approached me 25 years ago, my clients mainly come from Asia. Meanwhile, I also focus on Belgian riders or riders from other countries.” Lieven Devos likes to welcome his clients at home, temporarily or for an extended period. Furthermore, he travels to Asia between five and ten times a year for trainings. “During the summer months it is too hot over there. Then the trainees often come to Belgium to train. Usually I go there to support my riders at important championships. The Asian Games is often the main target.”
